SIMCO’s Electrostatic Charging Monitor is designed to monitor charging systems used in a wide variety of industrial manufacturing equipment. The units’ compact size permits mounting in a location near the charging bar or applicator for a visual performance indictor. Where multiple charging devices are connected in parallel to one power supply, multiple Electrostatic Charging Monitors can be used to monitor each bar independently.
Using patent pending technology, the Electrostatic Charging Monitor directly measures the output charging current of a system. The measurement technique uses no direct electrical connection between the high voltage and the low voltage circuitry, so the system has no impact on charging device performance. By monitoring the output charging current of a system bar performance can be visually monitored and changes in the system, such as debris accumulation, can be compensated.
The Electrostatic Charging Monitor is powered with a 24VDC input. The input voltage can be supplied by using an AC adapter or by connection to the built-in Interface terminal block.
The terminal block accommodates situations where the user prefers to supply power from a 24VDC machine bus. The terminal block also features relay contact output of the unit’s fault alarm and overload alarm for remote fault sensing.
