Using an Electrostatic Charge for Card Insertion on a Saddle Stitcher
On the saddle stitcher, many cards can end up on the bindery floor.
The problem can be practically eliminated by immediately pinning
the catalog closed once the card has been inserted. A charging
applicator placed over the signature just as they close will trap the
card in place preventing fall outs.
Solutions
Chargemaster CM 20, Static Charging System
The Chargemaster Static Charging System provides two positive or two negative outputs. This small footprint static charging system can supply up to 20kV of power.
Chargemaster CM30 & CM60, Static Charging Systems
The Chargemaster CM supplies the high voltage for charging bars and various charging applicators, which are used to temporarily bond materials. The Chargemaster CM provides a simple and economical solution for a wide range of production processes.
Chargemaster CM-BP 30 & CM-BP 60, Static Charging Systems
The Chargesmastet CM-BP systems provide dual polarity (four positive and four negative outputs)with either 30kv or 60kv output.
Static Charging Applicators
SIMCO’s Pinner Series static charge applicators consists of the Linear Pinner, 5-Point and Pinner Claw. Pinner applicators are arc-resistant to avoid suspension of static charge and loss of pinning action. The Pinners are current limited to ensure operator and equipment safety.
Electrostatic Charging Monitor
The Electrostatic Charging Monitor tracks, and displays, the performance efficiency status of the Chargemaster electrostatic charging equipment.
